Worried about the flu?

Occupational Health & Training

Registered nurses with specialized training and experience provide services on a regular, part-time or project basis. Services include contracts in business, industrial and health care agency settings according to their specific needs and requirements. Occupational health training is provided both on site at the workplace or at the Nightingale Nursing Group's office.

On site nursing services may include First Aid/CPR teaching, regular hearing testing, lung function testing, primary care and duties specific to the individual work site or mine site. The nurse is a valuable resource on the Occupational Health and Safety Committee as well as on the Return to Work planning team.

Wellness clinics are provided on site in various workplaces, including manufacturing facilities, municipal and provincial buildings, pharmacies, retail outlets etc. Some examples of such clinics are:

Influenza Immunization
Blood Glucose Monitoring
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Asthma Teaching
Over the Counter Medications
and many more as identified by the individual work place

Wiegers Wellness Program

Nightingale has signed on with the Wiegers Wellness Partners in an innovative plan to help workplaces improve their health and wellness. There are ten partners, each offering a specific product or service at a discounted rate of at least 15% for Chamber Group Plan members.

Nightingale's service offered at the 15% discount under this program is our "Weight Risk Assessment" clinic. This clinic can be set up as a one hour 'Lunch and Learn' session or at any other time during the work day. A registered nurse will present information on risk factors, show the participants how to measure their Body Mass Index and Waist to Hip ratio to determine their own personal risk factors. Useful information regarding healthy eating plans and habits will shared.
